How to quote a roof in four minutes

A step by step look at turning a satellite image into a sent roofing estimate before you leave the driveway.

The fastest way to lose a roofing job is to make the homeowner wait. The crews that win are the ones who hand over a real number while the customer is still standing in the yard. Here is how to do that in about four minutes with Quove.

Pull up the property

Type the address into the quote wizard. Quove drops you onto the rooftop in satellite view, so you are looking straight down at the surface you will price. No ladder, no walking the perimeter, no climbing in the heat.

Trace the roof planes

Click each corner of the roof and let Quove draw the polygon between your points. Follow the real shape, including hips, valleys, and dormers. As you adjust the corners, the square footage updates in real time, so you can see the measurement settle as the shape gets tight.

Working from your phone in the driveway? The wizard runs in a mobile browser, so you can measure and send without going back to the truck.

Let the price calculate

Quove multiplies the measured area by the roofing rate you set in your pricing. The estimate appears the moment the polygon closes. If the homeowner asks about a different section, redraw it and watch the number move.

Send the link

Save the quote and share the private link. The homeowner opens it on their phone, sees the price and the measured roof, and taps accept or decline. The status lands in your pipeline the second they respond, and you are already on to the next house.

Put this into practice on your next quote.
